Just Desserts, one of the largest wholesale dessert suppliers UK, has been given certification of Halal compliancy from the Universal Halal Authority.
The Halal certificate was passed to the UK craft dessert manufacturers on the 27th July 2026.
Halal certified bakery manufacturers remain a minority within the UK, making this an important milestone for Just Desserts. The bakery has been free-from any non-halal products for a number of years.
Just Desserts Technical Manager Emma Jeffs (pictured right) states:
‘Our bakery is built on quality and inclusivity, so we thought it a natural and important step for the business to strive towards this accreditation. Thank you to the Universal Halal Authority for taking the time to visit our site and conduct the audit. We feel privileged to have this certificate displayed for customers to see when they walk in.’
What does this mean for Just Desserts and their products?
- As part of verification, the bakery underwent comprehensive inspection of ingredients, food handling methods, storage, and hygiene.
- Subsequently, along with Halal accreditation comes even greater assurance of the quality and standards of Just Desserts products.
