The addition of berries and sultanas to our flapjack recipe is something that we thought long and hard about – to add fruit to a recipe can sometimes make it a little too moist. However, after experimentation, our craft bakers nailed the perfect balance of fruit and other ingredients, leading to a wonderfully flavoured and beautifully textured option that’s nigh impossible to turn down. We’d suggest offering this flapjack with a cup of tea, or a similar hot drink – the earthy richness of most hot drinks serves to balance the sweetness of a fruited flapjack.
